The Jordanaires - "Working On The Building"

Postby Mister Moon » Mon Aug 13, 2018 11:35 pm

Here's a neat clip of The Jordanaires doing "Working On The Building" years before recording it witl Elvis. In that 1960 cut, there was the addition of Milllie Kirkham.

This footage must date from the period 1954 - 1958, when the group was formed by Gordon Stoker, Hoyt Hawkins, Neal Matthews Jr., and Hugh Jarrett. By 1960, Jarrett had left the group and had been replaced by Ray Walker.

Great! Thanks.

Not seen that before.

1254 ?

That number rings familiar. I'm sure Colin will post more information about it... ;)

Got that footage on/in my collection but can"t think what show it was from.

Presley picked some great tunes for his 1st GOSPEL album, and his voice is just spot on.

My FAV album of his by a mile.

Great topic/post.
Keep the FAITH MIKE :!: :!:

Back in the old days, that was my pin number for the ATM machines.

I've changed it now.

Mr Eric Battenshaw, of Houston, Texas, used to live at No. 1254, but he's moved now...
