The song was based originally on the tune of another Arthur Crudup composition titled "I don't know it" as recorded on 22-10-45 (RCA 20-2387); he re-wrote the lyrics to the well known That's all right.

The display features a 78 RPM record and a 45 RPM record of Arthur Crudup’s “That’s All Right.” The display contains an engraved metal plaque titled “BIG BOY,” with an informative passage that reads in part: “Arthur ‘Big Boy’ Crudup, known as the grandfather of Rock ‘N’ Roll, was the writer and original singer of Elvis Presley’s first recording, ‘That’s All Right.’” Crudup first recorded it in 1946 in the 78 format, and again in 1949 in the much rarer 45 format stamped in orange vinyl.

(E0 = 1950 / E1 = 1951 / E 2 = 1952 etc). In 1955 RCA matrix numbers start with F and each year got it's own letter from now on.
In 1963 the systen changed again.
An explanation of matrixnumbers can be found on the site of Keith Flynn as far it concerns Elvis.
