Elvis Presley Loving You standee

Source: http://auction.graceland.com/1957__em_l ... ot129.aspx

image.jpeg

This standee (just short of actual size) was produced to promote Elvis' second film, the 1957 Paramount Pictures production of Loving You, with co-stars Lizabeth Scott, Wendell Corey and Dolores Hart. The film told a story with many echoes from Elvis' own experience to that point, complete with the meteoric rise and aggressive management. This extremely rare standee (only a handful are known to exist) does its own part in capturing Elvis' megastar stature. The standee measures approximately 71 x 36 inches (180.34 x 91.44 cm).

The standee is in two pieces, which have both been reinforced with foam core backing, but can be easily assembled for display by connecting the foam core backing. Several small repairs (the hand) have been made to strengthen the piece, all of which is fairly standard on the few examples of this that have surfaced intact.

I'd sooner members put their real location up.

When someone posts that such-and-such a single reached No.1 [or whatever] we have to try & remember if they're from the US, UK, Oz, or somewhere in Europe...

OK - I could have worded that:

'somewhere else in Europe'

or

'somewhere on mainland Europe'

Putting the pedantry aside for a moment, do you understand my point ?

Sure.

There's also the possibility that some members don't want to exhibit their real location.

Or maybe some others find it funny to write some Elvis-related stuff, like me and SM.

Either way, don't get angry with me, Colin. ;)

Who's angry ?

You wouldn't want to see me angry !

I can't see why members should feel shy about their location !

I'm only asking for a country................ not their full postal address.
