Debate on elvis true height?

I'd never go by a tailors measurement as he was never likely to have measured Elvis' height instead he was more likely to have asked him for the sake of "filling in the form".

Why would a tailor need to know Elvis' height? Well, not just Elvis' - anyones?

Shoulder height might be a good one to know from a tailors point of view.

Perhaps the tailor would need to know the height of the client, so that the jacket can be made to cover the derrière - just to check the maths of their measurements, as they go

Also, as we know, arms outstretched should be the height of a person, so it all helps with the balance of the garment to know as much as possible when tailoring - of course one wrong snip can ruin the garment.

I read the Linda Thompson book a month ago and Im sure she mentioned Elvis height there ....I think it was either 6,1 or 6,2....dont remember excatly.

A bit of info i came across
Elvis was 5ft 11.75in (182 cm); however, he routinely wore shoes that had "lifts" inserted into his size 11 shoes making him over 6 feet tall.
