I have never much liked Elvis' version as it was too different to the other songs recorded at the '69 sessions. This one is more gritty and had Elvis done it the same way, I would have liked it better.

Oh, I understand that, but I think it was overdubbed much later hence it sounding unlike the others recorded at the ‘69 sessions.
My Little Friend , as much as I enjoy it, suffered the same scenario.

I really like My Little Friend. It has a very different vibe to Rubberneckin'.
