Some obversations:
Some of the tracks have already appeared on previous 'stereo' CDs like Elvis at Sun & others.
Sometimes even in 'true stereo' from the original recordings.
Duplications like that could have been avoided.
The CD sleeve, at first glance, makes it look like it contains 'home recordings'.
Yeah, maybe the sleeve could have been better thought out, but the sound is great.
Both albums were stop gap titles which were released during Elvis' army service. The sleevenotes make reference to this, and this is why the decision was taken to use a picture from this period on the front cover of the CD.
As the cover also clearly shows the title of both albums, and the additional blurb refers to the release of, 'two classic albums in stereo for the first time', I really can't see how anyone could think that the CD features home recordings...
