The error is for "Love me tender" stated as being filmed in 1957.

Yes, and the photo with Parker, I would say it's from Christmas 1960, not 1961, so not "Blue Hawaii" but "Wild In The Country".

The Small Faces rock !

Yes !

It was David Keith who played the Elvis role in the Heartbreak Hotel film !

The film has been derided many times, but for me, it's a guilty pleasure !

Maybe because I quite like Tuesday Weld !

I've never seen that, and even though it's got Tuesday in it, I really have no desire to see it.

David Keith does a pretty good Elvis and I quite like the movie.

For some strange reason, I own the LP, the CD and the single but I have never seen the movie.

The song was of course in Live A Little Love A Little. Michele Carey was El's love interest and Frank's eldest played no part in the film.

Really, I thought there was a rare print of Speedway out there somewhere.
Damn it.

I could edit in to the film, see if anyone notices.

...and I wouldn't have said the Sinatras 'had an important place' in Elvis' career.

Not hugely, but the Welcome Back show was quite important.

The Sinatra family and Elvis connections fascinate me, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is one most Elvis fans forget.

That is a very indirect connection. I don't think "old blue eyes" had any influence there, in fact in 1956 it would probably have been "let the boy appear on the show and let him fall flat on his face".
