Convention would suggest Volume 2, Volume 3 etc.

The Travelling Wilburys didn't follow that convention. They went from vol 1 to vol 3. I bet it drives any fans with OCD, crazy.

Thanks John,

Dictionary definition of 'convention'

"1. a way in which something is usually done."

Who did you want me to give the hat to ?

Dug out my video of Carl Mann at The Shell in Memphis.
That's Jimmy Van Eaton on drums too, Jerry Lee's drummer.
Two 'SUN' artistes on stage together.

That's great, but where is your video of Charlie Rich singing I'm Coming Home?

Well.... I don't have one, he was dead .
I did see Charlie Rich in Memphis back in 1984, he was in the audience at the Carl Perkins show. The MC called him on stage after Carl had finished his show.
He got on the piano and played a short 'Lonely Weekends'.
As he left the stage he came down and walked to the bar where I was standing, he squeezed by me smiling and put his hand on my shoulder. He then sat about 5 feet from me.
At that time I knew zero about him other than he was known as 'The Silver Fox, in fact that's how he was introduced by the MC. I have no photograph, autograph or anything, and yes, it's a big regret.
Charlie Rich Jnr was on that show at the Shell with Carl Mann too, and he sure sounded like his father.

Here are my photos of Charlie's watch and Deputy Sheriffs badge though.

Love that story. What a missed opportunity. "Charlie, where is your version of I'm Coming Home?"

Great stuff. Thank you.

Nice to see Carl playing lead guitar on this track. His vocals are pretty close to the 1959 original. He shortens the song a bit after the solo, though.

It's mindblowing to think that he was only 16 years old when he did it for Sam Phillips. Such a classic cut.

And he was 14 when he recorded his first single :
