Bob Dylan - I've Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You

From the new album which has topped the UK charts.

I thought the music sounded a lot like Offenbach - Barcarolle , from 'The Tales of Hoffmann' classical piece. Same as Tonight is So Right For Love by you know who. What do others reckon ?

There is a similarity.

I've listened to the album once so far and I like it, except the very long track, whatever that's called, but I'll listen again.

Really amazing he is being such a success on a worldwide basis with this new album.

The guy has just turned 79 and has been in the business 60 years. I'm glad for him.

I wish Elvis could have accomplished something like this too, but it was not to be.

Along with the UK album charts, Rough and Rowdy Ways is also number 1 on the German, Scotland, Ireland, Holland and New Zealand charts. It's number two in the USA , Belguim and AU chart. Awesome achievement as it was only release worldwide on 18 june.

and considering he uses a range of about three notes in the whole album....

It's an amazing achievement. His voice is like that of a gnarled old blues man.

Let's hope his next album of new songs will be fully fledge Blues, possibly a cover on 'Reconsider baby' would be cool.
