The Trouble With Girls

Postby Stevenson » Sat Dec 30, 2017 8:10 pm

I've found something interesting in the movie during the Clean Up Your Own Back Yard sequence:
at one moment there is yellow string and capo on; later - there is none of it:

It's also my first post on this forum, so I'd like to say hello to all of you! ;)

Thanks, Stevenson !

Hi - & a warm welcome to the forum !

That's a good clip from The Trouble With Girls.

A really good video clip could be made of him singing this song, without the cut-aways to the audience, the in-and-out-zooms &
out-of-focus fancy camera effects.

Access to the original footage would be needed, of course.

Well, I can dream, can't I ?

Thank you for your kind words, Colin!

I think Clean Up Your Own Back Yard is great song and it's nicely filmed. I bet we all would like to have access to outtakes from his movies, doesn't we. I must admit, when I first saw the movie I found it extremely dull, but now, as time goes by, I can really appreciate it.

Love the music in it. My only regret is we don't have the Chautauqua tune (which is basically instrumental version of Almost in marching tempo).

I like the cast. And the red-haired girl is easy on the eyes... :)

In the current British DVD release, it has a U which is UNIVERSAL rating, meaning suitable for all, but it is the original print in which Walter Hale is called "you no good bas***d". No Universal film in the UK would have this word in it, it would at least be PG. I reckon as it was an Elvis film the didn't even watch it, they just assumed. Same as CHANGE OF HABIT, under the censorship rules due to the rape scene needs to be 12 rating at least, but it is only PG.

This is really hard to see
Elvis is a legend and tons of people likes him. He was an icon of XX century. And the main thing is that people love him for all the advantages and disadvantages. Yes, he liked fan casino game site for all night long but he made many genious songs

I can vividly recall the very first time I heard the word "bastard". I was only eight years old, but I suffered a physical transformation, and became an infant Mr. Hyde.

From then on, I was very suspicious of movie ratings, understandably.
