Hi James-Henry,

Is there any reason, when I read your posts, that I hear your speech with a real lilt, nearly, as Scottish? Or, am I just crazy? (second question is rhetorical ;) ).

We should all put voice files on here so that we can hear each other.

Okay!

Good idea.

Should we all say the same script?

She sells sea shells on the sea shore ......

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers ......

8-)

4000 holes in Blackburn, Lancashire!

No drug references please.

Keep going up north. That's where the ale is real and cheap. Stop off near me and you can all buy me a pint.

I know what the reference was but some people didn't in 1967

I don't know, I wasn't born in 1967. On the other hand, Colin was already a grampa then.

A slight exaggeration there.

For the record, I only became a father in 1964 & a grandfather in 1995...

Thanks for asking, Mountain Mist !

Had a fall in town & couldn't get up.

So embarrassing !

Ended up spending 5 hours in A & E where they performed every clinical test they could think of over & over until they eventually let me go with the assurance that 'everything was normal' !

I am so sorry about the fall, falls are ever so dangerous, Colin. :(

Good that you have a clean bill of health, that is fantastic news.

You need your carer to hold you, as you move ;)

LOL

She held me when I got home !

Yes, it was reassuring that there was nothing untoward found after such an exhaustive 5-hour clinical check-over !

3 ECGs, 6 Blood samples taken, an X-ray, temperature & heart monitored & umpteen blood pressures taken.

They also threw in free coffee & sandwiches for me & Janet !

Our NHS is great !
