Just a quicky: There's a vinyl record dealer near me and been going for years. He bought some vinyls from me 5 years ago. Speaking to him yesterday he said that all vinyls are not worth anything nowadays and hard to shift. I felt like saying ok...then why are you in this particular market? He said bring some along or he will call and have a look at them. He did give me about £50 for a Beatles LP years ago.
Is there anywhere apart from record fayres that are a place to sell good vinyls with old labels like Brunswick Columbia etc? Maybe Ebay? My locality there are no such venues and mostly in the Midlands.
So much for my quicky, eh!!
He was obviously talking the value of the vinyls down because he wants to pay as little as he can for them !
In the 'Record Collector - Rare Records Price Guide - 2020' the Bill Haley 'Rock Around the Clock' vinyl album is listed at £30.
