I'm curious about information about other rejected songs like the song "What a day". The demo version was written by Don Robertson for this movie Viva Las Vegas but it was rejected. His own recording (recorded may 1963) was released in november 1963 on RCA 47-8269.

We should hear it. A pretty little ballad, Elvis could have done a nice job, but it's nothing special.

It's good "What a day" was rejected in the pre-selection. It's not one of the best songs by Don Robertson in my opinion.

Yeah the guy was auctioning his acetate collection off a couple years ago so he only uploaded samples unfortunately.
