I've set up to record it...

Didn't you record it the first time?

No.

Why not?

Aye. I think we should be told!

That I watched it last year, but didn't have a recording of it in my BT Vision Box.

Have now.

As I said last year, it was better than some docs on our boy !

At least things like the Milton Berle Hound Dog clip were in uncropped 4:3 aspect.

Some of the commentary was a tad banal.

The perfect Elvis documentary has yet to be made...

From today's Sunday People:

Sunday People - 14th July, 2019 - 001.jpg

A timely reminder of how embarrassing it was to be an Elvis fan back then !

Some great, bluesy singles in the UK chart, but we got inferior, throw-away stuff from his film soundtracks !

Even far lesser talents, like P J Proby, outdid him !

Priscilla talks about the 'demons' that plagued Elvis all his life [well, from August, 1958 on anyway]

The article & video is here:

Maybe it would have 'helped him more' if she'd stood by him & not walked out to be with her lover, taking their beloved daughter along with her...

Proby was never a "far lesser" talent. He was an amazing singer, could sing in many different styles and had a spectacular voice. He also wrote songs.

Maybe he shouldn't have screwed around so much.

So did I. He was not a "far lesser" talent in comparison to Elvis. He wasn't equal, but certainly not far lesser.
