Elvis coffin photo - mystery solved

Postby Scooby » Thu Feb 21, 2019 3:16 am

I have always thought the body or mannequin in the coffin photo, taken on August 18, 1977, looked more like Elvis in his 20s and not 42 year old overweight Elvis.

Elvis August 15, 1977.

Even Stevie Wonder can see the difference in the two.

Funeral homes are trained to make the deceased person look as good as possible
and they use special make up do achieve this. The special make up is a waxey type
substance and that is why some claim he looked like a wax figure

There is no proof it's a fake. There are two different photo's taken by one of his cousin's on that day and sold to the enquirer.

Elvis died that day in Germany while he was giving blood.

Then he was replaced by Jesse Garon, who was alive and lving in Tupelo working as a plumber.

But he couldn't stand the pressure of fame, and he vanished from sight in August 1977.

Now, aged 84, he lives in Mars with Walt Disney and Brian Jones.

Mystery solved.

The blood donor pic and the coffin pic are 2 completely different images. It's not even a tough call!

The rumour about the fake photo already dates from 17 august 1977.

All this doubt about his death & the authenticity of the pic could have been avoided if they'd allowed photos to be taken freely.

Too disrespectful to allow photos of a dead person ?

If there were some kind of Braille over the two photos Stevie may be able to help in solving this mystery.

That live pic is a slightly different angle than the coffin photo.
So not the same at all.

I remember reading the National Enquirer photo was retouched cause it came out too dark or something. And that leads in a way... what Joe Esposito told Larry King, that he felt the photo depicted Elvis pretty good compared to seeing him in person, or words to that effect. It is a profile photo...very different if taken from the front, in my opinion. I think it is real.

Exactly, Elvis is dead and the photo is genuine, albeit touched up.
End of.

This discussion reminds me of the fake photo of a "dead" Marilyn Monroe that surfaced years ago.

It was a very bad job done upon a well-known photo of Marilyn taken by Andre de Dienes in 1946, where she is seen with her eyes closed.
