Well, thanks for nothing !

The card read:

Hmmmm.... Although it's nice to get a personal message, & a signed one at that, I must take issue with it.

He reckons he's come 'from heaven to earth' to meet me personally [must have been out that day].

And this 'judgement for your sins' would have been made by his camp, wouldn't it ?

Would have been much simpler to just stop it rather than have 'taken that punishment for you by dying on a cross'.

Not dying permanently, of course, just for a couple of days.

And if his 'dying' absolved us of our sins, why is he now promising to 'forgive' us ?

What a load of crap.

That made me laugh out loud, Colin, and that's not easy. Thank you !

Brighton with Elephant - 1966 - Original & Fixed.JPG

With a little help, had this old photo cleaned up & coloured.

A good job, but can't seem to get the elephant to come out pink like it was.

Any ideas ?

I just thought there might be some members here, with the right software, to give the elephant a 'pink' look !

I can paint him in a solid pink, but that's not what is required...

Have you got Adobe Photoshop Elements, which would probably do it? It would be a long job as you'd need to constantly alter various settings as you went.

No, haven't got that software.

Thanks for the info.

There are some free alternatives like GIMP you could try.

I have to admit that I have never tried it until now. I know the result is absolutely awful, but I only spent a few seconds on it. So please don't shoot me

Watching the World Athletics Championships from Portland Oregon today.

They had Scottish athlete Eilidh Doyle as a guest.

Who remembers when the UK Top 10 Singles had songs you actually knew in it ?

Here's one from 1959 in the UK newspaper 'Sunday People' - 24th July, 2022:

Some great songs there [with one exception] !
