What I always have been afraid of just happened in Baltimore.
A containership sailed onto a bridge and the 2,5 kilometer long bridge collapsed.
Where I live there are lots of bridges, some short, some long i.e. you have to walk 5 minutes or more to go from one end to the other end.
Meantime while you are walking on the bridge, the ships keep sailing underneath.
Some ships are small, but there also are containerships with containers stacked quite high.
Occsionally containers hit a bridge and end up in the water.
But I am afraid one day the bridge will collapse and I end up in the water.

That's absolutely terrible. I'm thankful that there wasn't more deaths.

Good it didn't happen during rush hour.

An almost naked man is seen being tortured to death, nails have been pierced through his hands & feet fixing him to a wooden cross.
Blood flows from a side wound & is seen running down his abdomen & soiling his loincloth.

Is it just me who thinks this is an obscene picture for a local church to put on display in some sort of 'celebration' ?

There is normally a door there, but on special occasions, like Xmas, they change it to a window for a public display.

Gruesome & grotesque, I call it, what sort of people think this is appropriate for public display ?

I guess the same sort of people who think it is normal for their God to bless their weapons when they start killing other people in a war.

There's stupid, and then there's .....

Woman wheels a CORPSE into a bank and tries to get him to 'sign off' a loan in her name while holding his head up in front of suspicious staff who ask why he looks 'very pale'.
