Since a lot of the people quoted are unknown to me it is always fun to see how the people quoted look(ed) like.

You were right to be doubtful !

The photo I attached was the woman Lisa Harrow who played the part of Nancy Astor in the BBC mini-series 'Nancy Astor' in 1982.

A 'strong positive mental attitude' won't help your diabetes, for example, need the right meds for that.

Of course there are exceptions, but you could change your diet and lifestyle, if it's diabetes type 2.

I was diagnosed pre diabetic a year ago. I wasn't eating badly, but I didn't really get much exercise. Anyway, I've lost half a stone and aim to shed another 3-4 pounds, I play table tennis twice a week and use my exercise bike regularly. My reading came down a couple of points after 6 months, and I'm due to have another test in January. No meds taken.
