I don't need to, but I hear from a little bird that he's still active out there.

I'll go and find a Mario Lanza forum and find him.

Why not an Elvis forum ?

Has he gone off him ?

I'll ask him when I find him on a Mario Lanza forum.

If you find him, don't encourage him to come back.

Members here are already upset with others correcting their grammar & spelling.

Having him laying down the law would not be conducive to a harmonious forum...

I doubt he'd do it again.

With all this LGBT, transgender, & cross-dressing around these days, the terms 'his', 'hers', 'him', 'he', 'she'' & 'her' are becoming insufficient.

Even 'girl', 'boy', 'man' or 'woman' are hardly enough !

I'm thinking of Eddie Izzard, Grayson Perry or Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner.

On TV, I've seen a presenter using the terms: 'Person with a penis' & 'Person with a vagina' being used.

Even then, they'd also need 'Person who-used-to-have-a-penis' !

Seems odd that we've come to this...

I do not like to judge people; however, I worry that people are wanting to belong, by being different in a wrong way, a way that is not healthy for them.

Yes, I wasn't criticising the people as such, just pointing out how our language, & the actual words we use to describe things, have not kept up with the reality of modern life.

When you mentioned 'wanting to belong', it reminded of a joke from the current Edinburgh Fringe Festival:

"We all want to belong - trouble is, some of us are naturally short !"

I see that a Japanese TV channel is to broadcast 2001 - A Space Odyssey followed by My Fair Lady in 8K !

Few TVs will be able to display them in their full glory !

Most of us haven't got 4K yet !

The super-high definition 8K pictures offer 16 times the resolution of HD TV !

Why have they picked on those two films ?

The answer is that they were filmed in 70mm, instead of the more common 35mm film stock !

This means there is greater detail available, something 8K was made for !

My understanding is that 8K is the ultimate picture quality, anything beyond that will be undetectable by the human eye...

I believe Windows are developing new eyes for humans. These will replace the regular eyes in front which will be reinserted at the back of the head. The new eyes will be able to see 24k, but the problem with them is that occasionally you will have to reboot them in order to get the full effect. Sometimes they will freeze, occasionally they will get a virus. They may not be compatible with other organs or senses you already have, so ears, noses, may need to be upgraded.
