My BT e-mail account was hacked !

All put back in working order now, but no knowing what the hackers were up to !

Ignore any suspicious e-mails that are apparently from me asking for funds to be sent - it ain't me asking !

Family members have already had e-mail requests, apparently from me, saying that I can't phone because of laryngitis & I need a favour from them !

Be wary !

Some who responded to the first fake e-mail get a second one which asks them to buy an Apple gift voucher
'for my niece, who is suffering from liver cancer' !

But a follow-up one says it's 'for her birthday' !

These hackers are so careless, aren't they ?

Most who recieved the 1st e-mail quickly realised it was fake !

I get e-mails from strange women who want sex with me. Then there are terminally ill extremely rich people who want to donate their fortune to me. Plus I win lots of presents, gift cards, et cetera. Just have to pay the shipping costs.
Next to that I get e-mails stating "they" filmed me doing adult things while watching x-rated stuff on the internet but when I pay an x amount in bitcoins they will erase the film. No need to call the police as they claim they can not be traced. Sometimes I get 20 or 30 of those e-mails after another. I'd be broke if I'd fall for that scam as I am a decent bloke. When I do adult things I switch of the laptop.

I delete these "friends" requests. All my friends on Facebook are real people I know personally.

When I found I couldn't log in to my e-mail account, I contacted BT who discovered the 'hack' & stopped it.

Early responders would have been in contact with the hackers, but from then on my real e-mail was operative.

I don't think they had completed going through all of my contact list at that point, so some were spared the 'fake' e-mail !

Phoenix members would only have gotten involved if they were part of my contact list.

Yes, BT sorted it immediately.
