Ann-Margret CD.jpg

One of this year's most anticipated albums is finally here - the full release from stage and screen icon, the lovely Ann-Margret!
One of Hollywood's brightest lights and star of such film classics as Bye Bye Birdie and Viva Las Vegas, Ann-Margret proudly presents all new recordings of her singing pop and rock standards in her own ineffable, entrancing singing voice!
This project pairs her with several stellar guests including The Who's Pete Townshend, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, The Oak Ridge Boys, Pat Boone, country legends Mickey Gilley & T.G. Sheppard, Stax guitarist Steve Cropper, Robben Ford and so many more!
Will be heavily promoted with full-scale publicity campaigns and support from the guest artists!

I'm not really a fan of her singing. I don't mind the VLV material, but otherwise she leaves me a bit cold.

I'm looking forward to hearing the duet with Cliff though!

"One of this year's most anticipated albums."?

They must be kidding. These "duets" albums are usually extravagant items, but this one gets the prize for bizarre combinations of songs and featured artists.

She looked better than she sang. Like Marilyn Monroe and many others. You can't always get what you want.

Yesterday the New York Times published an article about Ann-Margret and her new album:
https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/08/arts ... -wild.html

Actually a case for our "Spot The Error" section is this quote here:
On Friday she will release “Born to Be Wild,” the first album in the star’s career of 60-plus years to focus squarely on rock standards, all of which she handpicked, including Steppenwolf’s biker anthem referenced in the title and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” which Elvis famously gyrated through in his own version.

The sequel to her previous album, "Born To Be Annoying", and soon to be followed up by, "I Wouldn't Touch Her With Yours".
