Aside from the writing, the photo below is remarkable, showing Jerry Lee with Axton,
another unidentified woman, and Diana Lee, lead singer of The Royal Teens :

Maybe I just misunderstood something, but the photo description of the article says that the third girl's name is "
Sally Pettier, a teenage newspaper correspondent"!?
And here's why the description called Diana "(of Short Shorts fame)"

Oh yes, thank you. I found this a few days ago, and read the full caption, but didn't post it until today. I thought she was unidentified.
I was stuck with the Diane Lee connection, and I thought it was really cool to see her beside Jerry.
The Royal Teens and Lewis shared the spotlight on Dick Clark's very first TV show in early 1958. Jerry sang "Great Balls Of Fire" and "Breathless", and TRY sang "Short Shorts".
This later song always seems to get bad publicity, but I really like it. Aside from the obvious silliness of the lyrics (this ain't no "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again", clearly), the track has a true rock and roll feel. Those sax and guitar solos are kinda inept, as if played by Lee Allen and Eddie Cochran on hangover, but they fit perfectly there. It really takes some rock and roll knowledge to conceive a record like that - not just in the commercial aspect of the matter.
