By the way John, I come back here because, a number of fans here enjoy my posts and often say so, as you well know. :-)
But sadly, there is also envy.

Very sad news about Lisa Marie. May she Rest in Peace.
On my return to Ireland from Thailand a Christmas card from Dolores Hart was waiting for me.

Is that supposed to impress anyone? If it makes you happy, good for you.

To each their own. It might be quite a nice thing, but it's still not anything impressive.

My time machine took me to 1956 and got this shot, is this impressive?

On April 9th Elvis signed a contract with Hal Wallis:

Elvis was in Hollywood to firm up his first movie contract with Wallis, though Wallis would actually produce Elvis' second film, Loving You, because Elvis was immediately "loaned" to 20th Century Fox for his first film, Love Me Tender.

IMPRESSIVE 1956, April 9, Hollywood CA., with Hal Wallis..png

I have these pictures as April 6th, 1956. On April 9th, 1956 Elvis was on tour in Texas.

PP opened a separate thread for the picture (with an unknown gentleman shaking hands with Elvis while Jack Carson and Gregory Ratoff standing by) he posted above: Elvis and Jack Carson

He assumes the picture was taken in Vegas and I too think the background seems to resembles that of the Hickory Room restaurant at the Riviera Hotel. April 6, 1956 could even be correct, because Elvis flew directly to Las Vegas for a one night trip after meeting Hal Wallis. Jack Carson was definitely in Las Vegas sometime in April/May 1956 as he together with Charles Laughton was interviewed at the New Frontier Hotel swimming pool by Ralph Staub (Fabulous Hollywood / The Columbia Shorts Department).
