Linda was such a class act, she could sing just about anything. Have you got the Spanish albums she made? They are wonderful.

What a lovely voice !

In 2011 she announced her retirement.
In August 2013, she revealed that she has Parkinson's disease and "can no longer sing a note."
This diagnosis was subsequently revealed to be 'progressive supranuclear palsy' [a rare condition that can cause problems with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing].

Yes, she was interviewed about it a couple of years ago and talked about it on TV. It's cruel.

Linda really could sing anything, from folk, rock, pop, classics, opera, country. The most impressive to me was the Canciones de mi Padre album in 1987, with a follow up Mas Canciones, in 1991. She also do=id another called Frenesi, but the material was lighter. Of the three, take a listen to Canciones de mi Padre, her singing is stunning, particularly on this track, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXq1L3k0FWQ&list=PLtyoje6CkG7bdFYE7q5OGyzdHhFKLorlS&index=4

If that doesn't move you, you're not alive.

My granddad was diagnosed with Parkinson's when I was 1 and then with PSP when I was 12 finally dying of it when I was 16. It's such a horrible disease and one that nobody should ever have to go through or see a loved one go through.
