WOW !!!

Hey COLIN , I am absolutely rapt to have found this episode of Australian Bandstand (3 august 1968) with Don and Phil Everly.

Sure, the audio is ordinary , but it's best to listen in with your headphones AYE

Scroll to the 5.30 minute mark and check out the brothers Everly version of 'Susie Q'...

Good write up here:

This episode of Australian Bandstand, first screened on 3 August 1968, strayed from the usual format of the show to present the popular American duo the Everly Brothers performing live at the Chequers Nightclub in Sydney. During the 1950s and 60s, Chequers played host to some of the biggest acts to visit Australia and for many years it was the place to see and be seen.

Next is 1966 and includes Tom Jones, The Searchers, Herman Hermits and finally, The Stones (scroll to 32 minute mark for The Stones). Good version of 'See See Rider' by the Searchers. Tom likewise with 'Chills and Fever' , 'Thunderball'.

The one I posted on the little Richard R.I.P topic with Jerry Lee Lewis, Shirrelles has now been removed because of copyright.

The Poppy Family and Everly Brothers on CBC Vancouver's edition of LET'S GO, The Poppy Family (Terry and Susan Jacks) then sing a couple of Everly's songs.
