Just a brief update....
I have today been accepted for clinical trials for my treatment and will be having chemotherapy that includes an infusion into the vein in the hand that will take 4 hours once every three weeks with two different cancer drugs paclitaxel and carboplatin ,the innfusion will be once every 3 weeks and may last for 9,12 or 15 weeks also àt some point during the treatment i will have 23 sessions of radio therapy to shrink the tumor and kill the cancer cells and lymph nodes.All body hair is looking like it will fall out.....dont even dare me to get an Elvis wig to go with my shirts Rob!!!Then 8 weeks to build my strength up before the Oesophectomy sometime early in the new year.i have finished all the tests in hospital and have a feeding tube fitted to put some extra calories in ,i will be discharged on Sunday to have a week of rest before The treatment starts,

From 24 August I will have chemotherapy every monday for 5 hours for 5 weeks and
Also from 24th August i will have 20 minutes of Radiotherapy every day apart from weekends for 5 weeks,then after the 5 weeks i will have 8 weeks or so to get some strength back before the operation(Esophagectomy) early in November.

Update :5th Sept 2020

Finished 2nd week of treatment on Friday, have put on 14lb since August 3rd and spent every weekday morning in radiotherapy and every afternoon in the gym,working out hard and fighting back from the colossal weight loss.!Only 3 more sessions of chemotherapy and 13 radiotherapy to go before a 8 week rest and the Operation,so onwards and upwards.
