It’s not business as usual for me. And others people carrying on regardless could be the death of me. I don’t know anyone who has it is not an acceptable answer

The point is you or anyone can have it without knowing, and you'll be spreading it around putting lives at risk.
Business as usual isn't good, social distancing is now for EVERYONE.

But my point is that I privately rent and also have gas and electric to pay for, before I have any food in the house. I pay for 3 - soon to be 4 - people to live and eat, and my girlfriend has been told she is not needed at work so she has no money coming in. Am I meant to sit at home or continue working and providing for them and me?

Do you watch the news Ben?

The government is putting packages in place to financially help those that are being laid off, or are having their hours reduced, and those that are having to rent. The advice is very clear. STAY AT HOME if you can. This isn't forever.

Your girlfriend, subject to her circumstances, may be able to claim some benefits.

You, subject to your circumstances, may be able to claim some benefits.

But sneezing isn't a symptom of Coronavirus !

These are:

Dry cough.

High temperature.

Difficulty breathing.

At the moment, my family & I are free from these...

I am so happy that your family are fine, I hope it stays that way.

The joke is funny, that's the idea.

;)

My new experiment today :D

I am sorry, Trevor, this is obviously frightening. I am glad that you have all in place to keep yourself centred and happy.

Our governments have known that there will be a pandemic for decades. My neighbour, as a microbiologist, mentioned same around 12 years ago.

As per usual, the government/s act surprised........

The joke is a take off on growing an avocado tree from a seed, which relates to growing toilet paper from a "seed".

A few seconds of video will give you an idea:

Right, thanks !

My knowledge of growing an avocado tree from a seed was very limited, or perhaps non-existent...

...until now !

Its frigthening and i am astonished with the ignorance of some.
Anybody watched the huge line of big military trucks driving by night through an italian town, each filled with caskets of the dead persons who died in the hospitals in the News?
I Think if such a line with dead bodies (they can't even keep up with cremating them) is driving through YOUR town or somebody YOU love will die from it...THAN you will realize its Not business as usual.
Italy is just 2 weeks ahead of the rest of europe.
What happened there can be very well happen tommorrow in your country.

Yes, and here in Australia, the government insists that children still attend school.

How Australia will enforce coronavirus self-isolation rules for overseas arrivals

From $50,000 fines to six months’ jail time, states and territories have different penalties for breaching the 14-day quarantine rule

I know they are different subjects - however; to me, (and I don't swear) WTF?

What is happening is absolutely frightening and horrific, please do not take my humour as anything, but my culture, of a coping strategy

I also want to add, John, that when I read about Maggie, I replied as I thought what she said was not accurate about you.

I also knew you would not share her name, so that Maggie could read that you are decent.
