On 21st January, 2021 - Colin B wrote:My ex-mother-in-law, in her nineties, had a fall & went to hospital to be checked & was sent home.

Shortly after, she had another fall & broke her hip.

She's now in hospital again & the test they did the first time has come through - positive for covid-19 !

Her two sons have had the virus, & one has died.

She never used to leave the house & all the family who visit her have been tested negative.

Could it have been the carers who visit who passed it on ?

Or did she get it from her first brief hospital visit ?

Update - 15th June, 2021:

She's died.

Sad to hear that Colin. My sincere condolences. It has been a brutal year so far over here. Dreading the next wave; people, especially the younger set, seem to think they are invincible.

Back in January, I posted about Boris Johnson:

"He's a sort of Trump Lite, isn't he ?"

He still is, but he's getting heavier by the week...

I looked up a recent video of Boris. He had big difficulty with an umbrella in the video - funny.

It seems he had no problem getting his brolly up here.

Scroll down to the bit about Boris.

John was using the word 'brolly' as a euphemism...

Yesterday the story was at the top. Anyway, this is the headline:

I feel incredibly blessed': Carrie Symonds, 33, is pregnant with her second child and Boris's seventh after going through a ‘heart breaking’ miscarriage earlier this year – and the ‘rainbow baby’ is due in December.

She seems to have been constantly pregnant.

From the 'Sunday People' - a UK Newspaper - 14th November, 2021:

Covid Stats at 14-11-2021001.jpg

Those figures are frightening !

I've already reported that my ex-mother-in-law & an ex-brother-in-law have died from Covid.

Another ex-brother-in-law & his family have had it, but survived.

Latest news is nearer-to-home: My grandson Sam, aged just 22, has been tested positive for it [he's also a type 1 diabetic].

The symptoms are not serious enough for hospitalisation, he lives at home with 5 other family members, including his twin sister, Jodie.

Just hoping my daughter & the rest of the family keep free of it.
