Those figures are frightening !

I've already reported that my ex-mother-in-law & an ex-brother-in-law have died from Covid.

Another ex-brother-in-law & his family have had it, but survived.

Latest news is nearer-to-home: My grandson Sam, aged just 22, has been tested positive for it [he's also a type 1 diabetic].

The symptoms are not serious enough for hospitalisation, he lives at home with 5 other family members, including his twin sister, Jodie.

Just hoping my daughter & the rest of the family keep free of it.

Best wishes to you and your family, Colin.

What can be said ? As long as there's ignorant individuals who, in the name of freedom, absolutely refuse to vaccinate, we will never get out of this damn shitty situation.

From the beginning, this Covid thing is showing the worst of people around us. This would have been a good opportunity for everybody to show our sense of responsibility, of doing things for us and, at the same time, for our neighbors.

But no way. Some people can't see beyond their damn mobile phones. What a bunch of jerks.

Sad to hear Colin. Just lost a distant cousin, to the virus " on the 13th...he was fully vaccinated, but there is another cousin who refuses to take the shot since " god knows whats in it" .....
Some think it is "no more dangerous than the flu" or it is Bill Gates or whoever who is out to "control" them.
All in all, it is a depressing time.

I hope she'll be OK. Hopefully the double dose will keep her from being ill.

My elder daughter got it between jabs, but she was fine.

We have to live with this virus in the next years; vaccinated or not. It’s our behaviour that spreads the virus and the new viruses all over the world.

So many numbers have been thrown at us, it's become a haze.

And the new "omikron" virus is already among us.

Well, here we are, at the starting box again, after TWO YEARS, and hundreds of thousands of dead people all over the planet.

I want to thank all the people who, due to ignorance, incivility, arrogance or plain stupidity have acted all through these two years as if nothing happened. They are the ones responsible for the present situation.

Mankind is slowly but surely going down the drain.
