Albums ?
Too hard to think, probably changes day-by-day...

Well, yes, probably all the pre-army albums, the A Boy From Tupelo set covered the Sun stuff, then Elvis is Back, the ones covering the American Sound sessions & Elvis Country.
I also like a lot of the FTD releases, giving us all those outtakes !

Oh, sorry, I thought we were restricted to his albums !
OK, then I'd have to add:
Bluejean Bop - Gene Vincent and his Bluecaps
Gene Vincent Rocks and the Bluecaps Roll
There's a Party Goin' On - Wanda Jackson
The Fabulous Style of the Everly Brothers
Chuck Berry
The Noble Art of Mr. Acker Bilk
Tropico - Pat Benatar
Fats' Rock and Rollin' - Fats Domino
"Live" at the Star Club Hamburg - Jerry Lee Lewis
John wrote:My opening post said "Out of interest, what are your top ten favourite albums of all time, and do any of your lists not include any Elvis?"
As you can see, all those who have contributed have not kept their lists exclusive to Elvis.
Thanks for yours, very interesting.
How did Pat Benatar get in there, and is the Chuck Berry album called Chuck Berry or is it Chuck Berry in general that you like?

I didn't read your post carefully enough, sorry.
You're forgiven.
Pat Benatar is there because I like her album.
I was interested purely because among all the rock 'n' roll artists and albums (plus Acker Bilk), comes this album by Pat Benatar, who is miles away from that genre.
My list uses a sort of 'code'.
The album titles are in italics & the artists names are in bold.
Where the album title mentions the artist's name, it isn't necessary to repeat it in bold.
Therefore Chuck Berry refers to the album title:
Understood. Thanks. Is that the 1975 album? I'm not at all familiar with it.

Can't see a release date on there, but the label says 'Recording first published 1962'
It has all my favourite songs from this performer on it !

That’s not the same one I found on the net, and this one didn’t even come up in the search. Yep, that’s a great set of tracks. Thanks.
Mojo Filter wrote:Rubber Soul - Beatles

Bat Out Of Hell - Meatloaf
Dusty In Memphis - Dusty Springfield
The Band - The Band
The Rolling Stones - The Rolling Stones (1st album)
My Generation - The Who
Dance Album Of....Carl Perkins
Elvis Presley - Elvis Presley
If compilations was allowed "Elvis At Sun" would kick the shit out of everything.
