Good that you have a clean bill of health, that is fantastic news.

You need your carer to hold you, as you move ;)

LOL

She held me when I got home !

Yes, it was reassuring that there was nothing untoward found after such an exhaustive 5-hour clinical check-over !

3 ECGs, 6 Blood samples taken, an X-ray, temperature & heart monitored & umpteen blood pressures taken.

They also threw in free coffee & sandwiches for me & Janet !

Our NHS is great !

Well, next time, pretend to fall ;)

:D

Good, good, good, sometimes, I would have a fall, if I was looking at something else, so, if that may have happened to you, you may have to pause walking, before looking at all the pretty women around you next time. 8-)

I am so glad that Janet (?) held you when you got home, you deserved it.

Ohh, and sending you big hugs to help you heal.

Thanks for the hugs !

My sister Janet came to the hospital, it was my fantasy 'carer' who held me when I got home !

I tripped on a piece of wood which builders had left sticking out after repairing a shop doorstep.

The wood mysteriously disappeared within an hour of my trip...

You are welcome.

That is all awful, but good, in a way, that you did not trip on yourself. (I don't trip on myself by the way, when we first moved here, it was only a block of land with lots of hidden rocks and holes).

Hmmmmmm "buiilders", not good.

Well, you just need to wait for the mail lady, now 8-)

No photos taken of the evidence then? That's a shame. Did anyone else see it?

It just happened that my next-door neighbour came along while I was on the pavement & took photos on her phone.

But I have no intention of making any claims.

Here's the offending bit of wood:

I've cropped me out - too embarrassing to post...

Why not claim?

Nah - too much hassle.

I didn't suffer any physical damage, just got shaken up a tad, & the wood was quickly removed so no longer a danger to anyone else.

Best leave it at that...

Thanks for asking, Mountain Mist !

Had a fall in town & couldn't get up.

So embarrassing !

Ended up spending 5 hours in A & E where they performed every clinical test they could think of over & over until they eventually let me go with the assurance that 'everything was normal' !

Wow sorry to read that, glad you're ok.
If you were in the US you would have paid a million dollars for those tests, lucky Englishman.

You need to get onto an old people's home. It should be free to everyone over 95.

Glad you're doing fine now.

He would, but all those young semi clad women that look after him at the moment would not be allowed through the door. For instance, here's the one that would look after him in the Gravesend Home for the Bewildered.
