The Supremes UK single of "You Can't Hurry Love" peaked at No.3 in 1966.

A cover version by Phil Collins peaked at No.1 in 1982.

A different song, with the same name, by the Swedish group Concretes peaked at No.55 in 2004.

A sign of our times:

Retail shops are feeling the pinch because buyers are using the internet more & more.

So I like to buy from local shops when I can.

Doesn't always prove to be an easy thing to do !

Wanting some blank CD-Rs, I soon found out that no shop stocks them in Gravesend.

This meant I had to journey to the Bluewater Shopping Centre about 3 towns away.

With Sony, Jessups, Currys all gone now, had to try HMV.

They didn't stock them either !

Finally ordered some on the internet !

Should have asked me, got loads from way back.

My local Currys still sells them, or did a few months ago. I think Robert Dyas does them too, or they did a few months ago.

My local Currys merged with PC World then shut altogether !
