It's funny, because those old festivals were more about the songs than about the singers. There were a handful of songs that were performed by several singers. That changed later.

No he didn't.
I emailed Keith on this months ago because he was saying exactly that.
The slate for A Dog's Life was EOV and Elvis, as he often did, just sang this after the engineer called the take. E-o da da de-o.
