Secondly, the songs can't be extracted from the film as they're only partial versions and not the whole songs.

It's saved you some time though.

I thought it was a great film, but then it was more my era.

OK, well, have you fully checked youtube for the songs?

Did you see Mister Moon's earlier post?

I didn't see this before. Unfortunately it only streams and makes mp3 available for certain songs. The common ones that are, mostly, in the public domain.

Thanks for trying though.

Yes that's the film version. It sounds like its it's from a tape and not a vinyl rip too. Long Live Rock is from the film too. A Thousand Stars, That's All Right and Get Yourself Together are all earlier versions and not the versions on the LP.

Thanks for all the help.

I've managed to get the 2 songs from the Rarities bootlegs. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to try and make better rips of the other 3 songs.

Do you happen to have the I've Gotta Horse soundtrack or his final album called The One and Only? These are going for high prices on their only CD release.

I don't have either of those. I like Billy and I've got 3-4 CDs, so I'm not a great collector of his stuff.

Have you checked out iTunes, they've got Rarities vol 19 Billy's Film Songs? The album has got the songs from That'll Be The Day. Whether it's the same versions, I don't know.

There seem to be several albums called The One And Only Billy Fury.

I have Rarities Vol 19 and it has the better versions of Long Live Rock and What'd I Say but That's All Right and Get Yourself Together are previous versions.

The One and Only came out in 1983 and was Billy's final album. It only had one CD release.
