I have a modest LP collection.
Stemming from my childhood and youth.
I have some coloured vinyl (2 or three), but mostly black .
The Moody Blue LP was on blue vinyl often.
My question is: is it true that coloured vinyl is in terms of sound quality a bit inferior to black vinyl?

In a word, no.
As with any other pressing, other than picture discs, it's just dependent on the quality of the vinyl, whatever its colour, and the pressing itself.

The top layer of 'vinyl' is a VERY thin plastic polymer layer that has a limited depth for pressing.
