You took these words out of my mouth. Whenever I see some record stores with those racks filled with out-of-copyright LP reissues it makes me cringe. Most of them look so fake, and it's evident they are made by people looking for the easy buck, not by music lovers.
Not too long ago, I spotted a reissue of Gene Vincent's second album (released in 1957, but including 1956 material) where they had slaughtered the original glorious back cover, and included laughable new pseudo-cool liner notes and post-1956 photos. I would have burned it right there.
