It eventually got released on the LP: The Neglected Masters in 1990.


There are at least two earlier releases.

If I'm not mistaken, the original release was this 2-LP various Chess artists compilation from 1971 :

No, both "discogs" links posted above list the "Mercy Babe" original from July 14, 1954.

The thread for the 'This Train' song cross-references with this one.

But this thread hasn't mentioned that title [as far as I can see].

Both songs share the same melody & seem to share a common source.
