'There Goes My Everything' was a perfectly good 'boy-has-trouble-with-girl-walking-out' sort of song.

Then they changed the title & lyric to 'He Is My Everything' & made it into this quasi-religious thing, inferior in every way.

Shoulda left well alone...

Just answered my own question. "There Goes My Everything" was written in 1965 by Dallas Frazier. Frazier wrote the new lyrics as "He Is My Everything" in 1968.

Yes Colin, looking back at your post it was clear. I just took it that you were speaking of the chronology of Elvis' recordings of the songs.
