The original version was recorded in january 1970 by B.J. Thomas on Scepter records. This version wasn't released at the time.

I like it, old BJ (great initials) puts some feeling in to that vocal.

I sometimes have the same with these Zippyshare files. Try again but don't let it take you further than the file. Sometimes it automatically tries to link you to something else. Just come out of it.

In 1971, coauthor Wayne Carson Thompson cut his own version for Monument, but it wasn’t released.
