I don't know if the song was released earlier on an album.
Could be, but I don't know...

Could be !

Unless they've turned up some long-lost duet versions !

Aha! From the bottomless vaults pit!... Just a sec, I'll listen to the samples of those songs on AllMusic. Well, if Elvis is on it, he's very silent. Or his part isn't in the sample.

He could be playing the triangle or tambourine or something...

Yes, that's why I asked if it was available in its entirety.

I'm not that big a fan of AM. I mean she makes my motor whistle, but I'm not about to splash out on her 5 CD box!

Incomplete set. If I can find the other cards, I'll add them here.

colonel snow, thanks for this. Is the complete recording available anywhere?

From this demo version unfortunately this portion is available; as far as I know Ann Margret has released the song on one of her own CD's.

The complete version of 'Appreciation' is available on Ann Margret 1961-1966, a 5 cd box released by Bear Family. I don't know if the song was released earlier on an album. Could be, but I don't know.

From AllMusic: Ann Margret 1961-1966
If you like Ann-Margret, this is a dream come true -- everything she recorded from 1961-65, including previously-unreleased material and soundtrack contributions, and a 12" by 12" hardcover book packed with color photos and notes. Like Pat Boone (who appears on two tracks) and Connie Francis, Ann-Margret was a versatile singer who tackled everything from show tunes and country classics to torch songs and teen novelties with equal charm, enthusiasm, and individuality. Her songs from Viva Las Vegas, Bye Bye Birdie, State Fair, and other films are here, in addition to her complete sessions with Al Hirt. Although this import box set is a major investment, the loving presentation will be worth it for serious fans.

I don't know if the CD version by Ann Margret is the same or recorded in another studio.

Err……………… shame about the boat race !

I once knew a man whose job, in a strip club, was to stick those 'tassels' on the girls.

Only £50 a week...………………………………but he couldn't afford to pay more...
