Colonel Parker was always looking for ways to improve the contracts with RCA to make more money. In this letter, the Colonel wants to make sure that the only photographs RCA receives are from him and at a cost of 20 cents per photo. The two-page typewritten confidential letter from Bill Bullock (Division Vice President Market Services and Business Affairs) to Colonel Parker, dated December 7, 1962 discusses in detail prices on the photo album for It Happened at the World’s Fair. Bullock proposes a deal contrary to what he and Colonel Parker had previously agreed upon. The Colonel responds at the bottom in handwritten blue ink, “If Bill Bullock calls - advise him we are not interested his proposal - only the deal I gave him on the phone - Thursday from the house - 20 cent copy folio 250,000 Guarantee - separate agreement on the folio payments.” The letter on RCA letterhead with an address of 155 E. 24th Street, New York 10, N.Y. is stamped “Confidential” and signed in blue ink “Bill.”

The original plan was to release LP LOC 2697 with extra photo's like Elvis Christmas Album:
original planning:
side 1 - One broken heart for sale - take 1
side 2 - Happy ending - take 9
both movie versions were replaced by the studio masters as the deal finally failed. The usual LP was released.
