Wouldn't it be good to have the original ending included as an 'extra' on a video release ?

Most video releases of cinema films have 'deleted scenes' included, except Elvis ones, of course !

We're lucky to get the film trailer...

My copy of the script contains both endings. The script is marked Revised Final - November 17, 1960. The script with the original ending runs to page 138. After that, there are 4 pages marked - ADDED SCENES - "WILD IN THE COUNTRY" - 12-15-60. These pages are changes to the motel scene wher Irene enters Glenn's suggesting they should try to drive home. Next, there are 4 pages marked RE-REVISED NEW ENDING - This scene begins with Glenn running in Irene's house and seeing the doctor reviving Irene with oxygen.

Who has written the script / screenplay?
It must be different to those added versions.

The 1961 paperback edition of "Wild in the Country", formerly known as "The Lost Country". I believe that this is the only "movie" book that featured Elvis on the cover. Another Elvis photo is on the back.

That would have been an odd place for a love song for sure, with Uncle Rolfe! Lol. Scene 81 is in the film, just not “Forget Me Never” at the beginning of the scene.
