US 3-sheet poster

This massive U.S. three-sheet is beautifully framed and presents our hero, complete with sombrero, dancing above the beach while he has unending Fun in Acapulco! The framed display measures 84 by 44 inches (213.36 x 111.76 cm) and the poster measures 81 by 41 inches (205.74 x 104.14 cm).

US 1-sheet military issue poster 1964

The offered one sheet movie poster for Elvis Presley’s 1963 film Fun in Acapulco was most likely created for distribution to military bases—military-issued posters are normally printed with only one or two colors. While they generally use some version of the regular one sheet artwork, the offered poster utilizes part of an advertisement from the film’s press book and some basic block lettering for the title and listing of stars Elvis Presley and Ursula Andress. This is a very unusual example, rarely seen. The poster has been stored folded, measures 41 by 27 inches (104.14 x 68.58 cm)

Romanian poster

The offered Romanian movie poster emulates an early 20th-century travel poster, with its main central image area and letterpress style typography harkening back to broadsides that the early 1960s theatre-going public would associate with faraway, exotic locales. The small plaque on the bottom of the frame reads, “Fun in Acapulco/Romania.”The poster measures approximately 28 by 20 inches (71.12 by 50.8 cm).
