Colonel

I do like to read the scripts but not the continuity scripts. In the continuity scripts not only do they have every line of every song but word for word every line in the movie. It's really just a transcription of the movie. I like to read the early and even the final drafts to see scenes that have been cut out or dialogue that has been changed. I have found that many times, Elvis would not say exactly the same words that were in the script but still get the same idea across.

Ed A, how do you access these documents?

I purchased all of my scripts on the Internet, but I got most of them about 10 or 15 years ago. Using Google, you can search for Movie or film scripts and find companies that sell copies of scripts. But only a couple of Elvis movies. Stay away from continuity scripts. Also, I got all of my books at used books store. I also got those a lot time ago. Maybe 20 to 30 years ago.

A few years ago, I found this beautiful French release from 1963. It's a reissue of the 1958 original. Like the USA and other countries, France saw two "King Creole" EPs. Volume 1 had a blue background, volume 2 was green. The sleeves of the 1963 reissues were virtually identical to the originals, except for the reference number, of course :
