LP Roustabout
The Jordanaires were the backing vocal group during the recording sessions of Roustabout; they are credited on the label.
Later on it was decided to record another version of Roustabout. The re-recording took place on 29 april 1964 (track) / 14 may 1964 vocal overdub (with backing vocal group the Mello Man). The Jordanaires were not available in the recording studio that day. The Mellomen were not credited on the label.
The first version of Roustabout (with The Jordanaires) was rejected and finally released later on.

Not heard this before.
Can you tell us which releases have the Mellomen version & which have the Jordanaires ?
Or are you referring to the I'm a Roustabout song as the 'original' version with the Jordanaires ?
