It appears that SONY's Policy is to release expensive boxsets which will only sell to devoted fans because of the price. These sets will not receive any publicity or marketing. SONY are a business and therefore not interested in Elvis' chart positions. They could have Elvis back in the UK Charts every week if they released 'Elvis' 30 No.1 Hits' as it is for sale under £5. But they go for the big profit every time relying on the loyalty of fans.

They have the FTD label for releases aimed at the 'devoted fans'.

This 'Nashville' release is for the general public & they should market it accordingly.

Yep, I totally agree with you, Colin !
Mainstream releases should be promoted. They are aimed for the general public. How can they buy it if they do not know the existance of it ?

Box set of the week is From Elvis In Nashville, a four-disc document of the sessions Elvis Presley recorded in the city in June 1970, extracts from which featured on several of his albums over the next few years. 2,009 sales means it charts at No.70, making it The King’s 122nd chart album.
