Mountain Mist wrote:Hi Colin and Mike,
Mindi has promised to forward the details on for you, Mike, although she is away at present. Mindi's contacts, the ones I am thinking of, are not the same as Tony's.
There may be more than one collector, too, as far as I have read.
TonyS wrote:I have no doubt it's a genuine Elvis suit, but I've now concluded its not the one in Sandi's pictures.
Auction and item pictures from seller shows a cut in the lapel that is not seen in Sandi's shots, and then there seems to be a kind of pocket line too.

But it is the one in your 'auction' pic, right ?
Auction and item pictures from seller shows ....

If you would like his name, Mike, please let me know?
I shall then ask Mindi, I am sure this gentleman would love to know about this suit.
Mike sends his thanks & this:
"I will gladly send info to the collector Mountain Mist mentioned, if she could find out where to send it, that would be great."

TonyS wrote:I certainly wouldn't rely on that b & w picture.
The only box it ticks for me is the cut lapel, and even that's not clear.
You can't see the color of the jacket, buttons, or even the shape of the cut at the hem.
Sorry, I'm not convinced, too much that can't be confirmed from that image.

That is the negatives, yes, I agree, with some.
I feel that the lapel is clear.
The actual cut (shape and hang) of the jacket is the same, or very similar, which is still not good enough, I agree.
Any possible photo (as per what I found, and it took ages to do so) is just "candy" on top.
A serious buyer, as per the gentleman through Mindi, of course, will know what he is doing.
There is nothing in it for me, I looked out of kindness, and thus far, perhaps this photo is close, or the one; sadly, we will not ever know, at this stage.
Anyway, Mindi said that the fellow who may be interested in the suit, will know, and if not interested, he may still be kind enough to supply more information (when time allows). I tried to help, that is all.

The only thing, is the shine on the buttons, reduces the comparison, if one wants to be over picky; hence why I looked for more photos.
Yeah!
