See previous post(s) about demos originally offered by Randy Starr for the cancelled Christmas album project in 1966.

I presume other songwriters / songwriting teams were invited to write songs for this project too.
Anything known about other songs?

According to an interview around 2011 with Randy Starr he submitted for the movie Change of habit the next demo acetates (all tracks sung by Kenny Karen):
– Change of habit
– People in love
– Singin’ the same old song
– Love is the name of the game
– There is only one you
All demo’s were rejected but probably the tracks are to be included in CD Randy Starr – Presley style Lost songwriter demos - volume 2.

I have always found demo recordings for Elvis interesting. Listening to when and when not, he followed the demo recording is a window into his mind at that particular time. It is interesting as to how many demos were rejected by Elvis.

Through the years hundreds of demo were rejected by the movie producer and/or director outside what Elvis did.
Example: for the movie Easy come easy go 55 demos were sent in. After pre-selection 12 demos left for possible recording.

colonelsnow,

Have you seen this? I saw an advertisement for this on Facebook. Woody Blagman, the son of Norman Blagman, the songwriter who wrote "Give Me The Right" and "Put The Blame On Me," is putting out some of his father's rejected songwriter demos.

Put out the light (Norm Blagman and Fred Wise)

I have no details on the four songs listed, but Elvis was sent the following -

Put out the light (Norm Blagman and Fred Wise) for `wolf` scene.

I believe the songwriter demos are being put out by Norman Blagman's son, Woody. Woody is a real estate agent.

Thanks Daryl for the update; I don't know these demos are linked with a recording session by Elvis.
There are a lot more demos but there's not always a link with a recording session.

Thanks Kevan for the addition.
In which movie is the so called "wolf" scene?
