As John as, "tip of the iceberg"....

Elvis oh Elvis loved to changed the words to songs as they were actually written or recorded by the original artist.
Even if he got them correct in one verse, he slipped up in the next verse.
And I am not even talking about outtakes.

This is different than "weird sounds" and would require a completely different list.

It would also require a new forum for this and a full time administrator to deal with it.

Who the heck did that ?

I don't think that "version" has been used again elsewhere.

In case you want to hear it, just PM me.

Another weird feature was the fact that the first two guitar notes of "I'll Never Let You Go (Little Darlin')" went missing on the 1984 mono reissue (AFM1-5198) of Elvis' debut album.

I'm speaking from memory, and this anomaly may even have slipped into some other mid-80s release.

Did anybody else notice this, and has there ever been an explanation for it ?

I can't say I've ever noticed it.

On the double features CD version of the Speedway soundtrack, at the beginning of "Five Sleepy Heads" you can clearly hear paper rustling. I'm guessing it's Elvis with his lyric sheet.
"Man, I just work here..."

Ah yes, it's very faint though.

I've just checked. It's like that on the Sun Sessions CD.

Looking at the credits for the "Sun Sessions" CD, it was "mastered by Jack Adelman" with "audio restoration by Rick Rowe".

What a bunch of crap. Them folks just took the 1984 pattern and pasted it upon the 1987 release. It's understandable somebody could make a mistake the first time around, but to repeat the same mistake three years later, which means NOBODY in charge noticed, or cared to listen before release, just defies any logic.
