Thanks for the information; the concerts were released in the past on various bootleg CD's.
Maybe the sound is a little improved now on this release.
It’s a pity no other unreleased concerts from this engagement were selected by FTD.
Bill Porter was the sound engineer.

Yes, most of these 1971 tracks were are available on 'unofficial' releases.

And we got some of them on the 2004 release: The Impossible Dream [FTD 32].

Yes, on ''unofficial'' releases, but also recently on one official release, by MRS.

When using the term 'unofficial' I'm referring to Elvis releases that are not from Sony/FTD.

According to the site of Keith Flynn the MRS release has "digitally extracted stereo". I'm not a fan of homemade / doctored tapes to create stereo. It looks we're back in the old days of electronically reprocessed stereo. This "fake stereo/echo" was the top of crap.
I don't think I'll buy the set because I've the bootlegs and I don't play all day long Elvis' concerts from the same period.

MRS is not Sony/FTD, but it is official.

Electronically reprocessed stereo was awful, no doubt about it. DES is very different and cannot be compared to EPS. It is truly superior. Nevertheless, I won't buy it either because I very rarely play the bootlegs, so I'm not interested in having this material on FTD.

I know what you meant by the word. I wasn't having a pop at you. I was explaining that there are other official sources. You never know, but someone might not be aware of this fact.
